Teaching & Research Subcommittee

The Teaching and Research Subcommittee, a subcommittee of the University Committee on Sustainability, seeks to develop opportunities for interdisciplinary curriculum development and research. The subcommittee supports a University-wide living learning laboratory approach and serves as a resource for faculty engaged in promoting sustainability literacy through teaching and research. Calling All Full-Time Faculty

The University Committee on Sustainability offers two grant opportunities made possible by UVA Sustainability Plan funding. The grants support sustainability-related course development and research projects to catalyze progress at the University and beyond in the realms of social, economic, and environmental sustainability. To date, this funding has helped support 38 research projects, 27 new or revised course, and 3 “Grounds as a Learning Lab” projects. The calls for proposals is currently closed.
