Teaching & Research Subcommittee
The Teaching and Research Subcommittee, a subcommittee of the University Committee on Sustainability, seeks to develop opportunities for interdisciplinary curriculum development and research. The subcommittee supports a University-wide living learning laboratory approach and serves as a resource for faculty engaged in promoting sustainability literacy through teaching and research. The University Committee on Sustainability is pleased to share two seed grant opportunities made possible by UVA Sustainability Plan funding. They are seeking proposals for sustainability-related course development and research projects. For both, awardees will receive $8000 to catalyze progress at the University and beyond in the realms of social, economic, and environmental sustainability.
The research and cource development funding helped establish four new courses and six research projects.
