UVA has joined the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council, a coalition of corporations, higher education institutions, government and non-profits with the mission of “driving positive impact through the power of procurement."

UVA Sustainability is proud to announce that the University of Virginia has been recognized with three top awards for myriad programs aimed at reducing waste and energy use on Grounds.

UVA wins gold in the Virginia Governor's Environmental Excellence Awards for reducing single-use plastics, such as water bottles, cutlery and dining ware.
