Incentives for Your UVA Sustainability Journey
The Sustainability Passport is a recognition and rewards program for UVA employees to receive incentives for taking action toward UVA’s sustainability goals.
The Wahoo Commute program incentivizes sustainable commuting choices through incentives ranging from eBike rebates and monthly raffles to incentive payments of up to $375 per year.
The Hoos Well program allows full-time faculty and staff enrolled in the UVA Health Plan or UPG Anthem Plan to earn $25 for activities related to "Mindful Consumption" and "Small Changes for Sustainable Living."
Join Sustainability Partners, a network of UVA employees interested in sustainability. They meet monthly, hear from local speakers, and share tips. Email [email protected] to join.

Apply to join the Staff Sustainability Leadership Program - a professional development program for staff to engage in advancing initiatives that conserve resources and lead projects to reduce waste within their departments.
Request a meeting or training: Invite the Office for Sustainability (OFS) to a team meeting to learn more about UVA’s goals, progress, and what your team can do to help. OFS offers customized training, such as Sustainability 101, Green Purchaser, or Zero Waste Event training. Email [email protected] to set something up.
Collaborate with UVA Sustainability to incorporate sustainability into new-employee onboarding.
Nominate someone for a Sustainability Leadership Award, which honors those who exhibit outstanding dedication to advancing sustainability.
Join the Green Purchasers Community of Practice to share ideas and resources related to sustainable purchasing, ask questions, and learn from one another.
