Bio

Elizabeth, or “Libby,” (she/her) works to gather and process food, energy and other procurement data to evaluate University-level environmental footprints including carbon and nitrogen. She collaborates with students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders to determine impactful yet feasible strategies to reduce the University’s environmental impact and meet sustainability goals. Libby holds a Bachelor of Science and Master if Science in Environmental Science from UVA, and previously worked as the program manager of a multi-institutional organization called the Nitrogen Footprint Network. Her research focuses on connecting individuals, institutions and communities with informative environmental and socio-economic data to enhance sustainability stewardship efforts. Outside of her work, Libby enjoys running, gardening and hiking with her husband and two children.
